Macau and Christmas holidays

Sense i haven't wrote in here for a few days now, i have lots, and lots to tell everyone!
Last Thursday, my mom and i had to make the trip to Macau (china). We heard great things
about it, and sense i has to castings that day because of Christmas, we went.
The ferry ride there, took about an hour and 15 minutes.. not too bad right? We thought the
same thing until the boat started rocking back and fourth, it was kind of rough on our stomachs.
When we Arrived in Macau, and stepped one foot out of the ferry terminal.. our eyes went wide.
We thought, "where do we go, how do we get to the main city, and why is there so many girls dressed
in tiny dresses throwing brochures in our face for a casino?"

So, we decided to just walk, until we seen some sort of easy transportation..
Then, this little old man rode up to us on his little bike, with a wagon attached to the back.
He offered us a ride to the "city center" and told us that we were not big woman so we only pay
$150.  Being as scared as we were to jump onto that wagon that was attached to a bicycle,
we still went for it, and actually had a lot of fun to! We were driving in and out of traffic, and merging
into lanes. We had local people laughing at us, and some in cars trying to talk to us, it was pretty crazy.
When we made it to our destination, ( a very good restaurant ) we both felt proud that we actually arrived to
the restaurant in one piece!

After our dinner, we walked around a bit, and shopped a little. Than it was getting pretty late, so we decided
to go back to HK. We wanted to walk back to the ferry terminal, which took us about an hour. When we got there, we found out that the next ferry wasn't until 11 pm. Keep in mind it was only 830.
So we went and walked some more, and some more, and some more. Around 930ish, we got tired of walking, so we just wanted to go and wait for our ferry. Our ferry came right at 11, and our ride home was only about 45 minutes because we were going REALLY fast..
So that's my Macau story - oh, and did i say the Macau is like a mini vegas?

For our Christmas holidays, we kind of laid low. We watched some tv movies, and went out for a nice dinner at a family owned Ukrainian restaurant. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right!
We were surprised though, that there were soooo many people out on Christmas night, the streets were packed like it was just another day. Back home, my little town would have been dead, and nothing would have been open! We found it really cool.

Until next time :)
